An upset stomach followed by frequent trips to the bathroom can be pretty exhausting and irritating at the same time. It happens to us at least once a year and has us wondering and looking around for quick relief treatments. Some of the common symptoms of diarrhea include:

As soon as someone around us gets diarrhea, we all suggest him to use bananas. This is not just a myth but a proven fact that bananas are really helpful for diarrhea patients. They contain pectin, a fiber which is soluble in water, that helps relieve the symptoms of diarrhea. Bananas are also high in potassium and natural electrolytes that keep your body well-hydrated. Even besides diarrhea, bananas are helpful in maintaining the natural health of your digestive system.

5.      Peppermint

Not only does it smell nice but is a natural carminative agent as well. When used with diarrhea it helps with cramping, bloating and any discomforts that you might be feeling. You can use peppermint with your tea or its essential oil in a safe manner to help with your stomach problems.  It also treats constipation, irritable bowel syndrome’s symptoms, indigestion and helps ensure a healthy bowel movement.

6.      Get loads of rest

Some good rest has never done anyone any harm.  With your body going through trouble, you need to reserve as much of your energy as you can to allow your body to recover naturally. Enjoy some hot peppermint tea and get some rest. Sleep is our body’s way of dealing with any problems that it might be facing and recovering the natural order of the system. As per recommendation, you should get eight hours of sleep and if you can’t seem to do that then allow your body to rest as much as it can.
